Wow - pure, solid gold right here Pam. Thank you for digging deep and thinking through these historical and ideological issues to help us imagine a better future together, One Love.

Thanks, Cheryl! Yes. Seeing all the atrocities and violence can harden us to possibility. But we have to continue to struggle to lead with love. 💕

Outstanding summary, I finally gave up and restacked the whole article. I think Georgia and Missouri are good examples of a difficult process toward a one state solution. Coming out of Brown V BOE the expectation of race riots and misdirected police brutality leads the Panthers to arm up and Malcolm X to say by any means necessary. Yet here we are 70 years later where Ahmad Aubrey’s killers actually go to jail, the defeat of Cory Bush shows that we are still a long way from representation, and the Cherokee Delaware etc still are camped and do not have land back.

Yes, exactly. It’s not perfect. But there has be a lot of progress. And we’ve all benefited.

As I read all this, I kept thinking a few things. First was the ruling class of any country must be the ones to friggin' relax and agree to share the wealth, resources, power, control, laws, etc. Thinking the side without the power has to somehow compromise things they don't even have is ... it's just wrong and won't work. Look at how that's going in the U.S. around systemic racism, Black people, etc. Whites know they hold all the cards and won't relinquish their power, dominance, and control for anything in the world. That kept reverberating in my head as I read about the Palestinians and Jews.

How in the world can the Jews act like this, given what happened to them during the Holocaust? Are they not behaving like the Nazis did against them in WWII? Come on, now.

Second, and perhaps part of the first, it's quite obvious to me that God did not tell the Jews that land belonging to them. God didn't tell white people that the U.S. belongs to them, either. That's colonization if I ever saw it. Jews just don't want to share because they're racist against the Palestinians and want to rule OVER them. They're using it as an excuse to commit genocide and in whose Bible is that anything but a huge sin? They must coexist in a fair manner. Sound familiar?

Third, deep in my soul, I don't understand why we think we can solve anything in other countries when we can't solve this problem in our own backyard. It's like the United States government is trying to play both sides and is terrible at it. Just like they're terrible at sharing privilege here in the U.S. We may be a powerful country, but we're just as messed up as what's happening over there, minus mass genocide. Who are we to dictate what they should do with the hypocrisy going on over here.

Fourth, until the U.S. shares what they've refused to share since they drug us over to this land, we have no business telling other countries how to live or resolve anything. I'll venture to say Black people are 99% consumers in this land and are here to make white people rich and work for them. We're doing the same thing here that's going on over there, but with clear state lines. 'White' can mean many people who are anti-Black, including Jews. All other races in this country practice some form of racism against the American Black. So, ummmmmmmm... interesting article.

BTW, I was raised during the 1960's, so I'm a bit radical. Malcolm X is my favorite hero, and so are the other Black leaders of our time. I went through the "Love" revolution, and guess what? Didn't work. LOL
